About Us

Premier School of Dance first opened in the fall of 1991. Director Monica Derrenbacher wanted to share her love of dance while providing a safe and caring atmosphere. Dance can be a very positive part of a student’s life long development. Not only are they learning dance technique and grace but also the self-esteem and confidence that help students succeed in all areas of life. Along with our yearly recital, our students participate in local festivals, parades and competitive dance companies. The Raleigh Christmas parade is one of our favorite activities; you may have seen our group in their distinguished tuxedos. We offer a wide range of dance styles at levels to suit the student. So whether you are new to dance or an accomplished performer, we have classes to meet your needs.
